A Close Look Into Androgenetic Alopecia

The scientific word for male pattern baldness is Androgenetic alopecia or simply androgenic alopecia.  This is a type of genetically passed on condition which affects not just men, but also women.  Even so, it is often men who are most greatly affected by the condition as hair loss almost always begin during puberty.  Hair loss usually occurs around the temple and at the crown of the hair.  If no intervention is made, androgenic alopecia can lead to alopecia totalis which is the total balding of the head.
